Apex Arts Launches 2013/14 Hitchcock Production Fund

In celebration of the life and work of Apex Arts trustee, film maker and actor Frank Scantori, who died recently, we are offering a grant of up to £2000 to a film maker that lives, works or studies in Waltham Forest, to make a short film.

Film makers are asked to respond to the phrase “News from Nowhere” but may interpret this in anyway they like.  Films can be of any genre but must be no more than 10 minutes long.

Since 1996 Apex Arts have secured and administered funding for over 30 films by local film makers through the Hitchcock Film Fund.

Many have gone on to win acclaim at national and international film festivals and allowed the film makers to progress their careers. For a brief history of the fund click here.

Apex Arts Launches Waltham Forest Arts Network

In response to discussions with members, Apex Arts has launched a new website, www.walthamforestartsnetwork.com

The site enables anyone with an interest in the arts to register, connect with others in the borough, start groups and discussions and post links to their work. Along with the listings site www.artsinwalthamforest.com this is the next step in joining together the amazing arts activity which happens in our borough…..register and spread the word – and use Waltham Forest Arts Network to let us know what you think!
